Consolidation Systems

For smaller volumes of gas for applications such as cylinder consolidation, puffer breaker maintenance, medical and research projects, Nikkiso Cryoquip offers a highly customizable consolidation system to meet the end users needs. These systems are conveniently packaged in a standard NEMA cabinet enclosure or a portable hand cart for recovery or send out. Some of the available features include the ability to liquefy or vaporize gas, inventory tracking through PLC and weight scale, touch screen control panel and automated integration into filling, recovery or circulation processes. These systems are engineered specifically for the customer’s end needs, so any option or function can be incorporated.

Transformers & Breakers

SF6 or Sulfur Hexafluoride is a manmade specialty chemical with the highest dielectric strength among any readily available gas. This unique property allows the gas to be utilized in circuit breakers and power transformers to quench arcs, while safely protecting the electrical equipment from damage and allow for reliable power delivery. It is also frequently utilized in industrial manufacturing processes such as tire rubber manufacturing and leak detection. The primary workhorse for these industrial applications is our low pressure liquefaction carts for large volumes of SF6 gas, (greater than 100 lbs.). These carts find use in chambers, gas insulated pipelines and large circuit breakers & transformers. The carts are completely self-contained skid-mounted units and are able to fully evacuate, liquefy, vaporize, purify and send gas back to the enclosure. They are available for stationary service or for mobile trailer applications. Nikkiso Cryoquip also offers refurbishment programs for our older carts which for some customers may present a more economical choice than purchasing a new cart.
